WASHINGTON — After a meeting on Capitol Hill with Republican lawmakers and donors, golf course manager Donald Trump became attached to, and was subsequently dragged for ten miles by, a municipal District of Columbia garbage truck.
Mr. Trump, the presumptive 2024 Republican nominee for president of the United States, mistook the passing truck for a caravan of supporters. As he approached, his foot somehow became ensnared in a mechanical apparatus on the back of the truck.
Having finished their collection for the day, the D.C. Department of Public Works employees in the truck did not notice Trump attached to the back for nearly 30 minutes until passing drivers alerted them.
The incident inflicted serious damage to the former president. In addition to a large portion of his skin being removed by the ordeal, he also suffered severe injuries to his brain and internal organs. Doctors at Walter Reed Medical Center expect him to make a full recovery.
